Friendship Club

Friendship Club will begin in September 2007. We will meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month at New City Fellowship from 7-8:30 p.m. The program includes singing, activities, and a clear presentation of the gospel. Friendship Club is a ministry to cognitively impaired adults. We begin with a time of welcome, prayer, and singing. This is followed by the Bible lesson, then time one-on-one with mentor to go over the lesson and make personal application. Then there is a time for crafts or games, ending with socializing and refreshments.
The goals of Friendship are:
The friends will grow in the understanding of God's Word
The friends will learn of God's love for them and that they are valuable to God and His people
The friends will claim God as their Savior
The friends will make new special friends (mentors) and also have a time to socialize with their peers
