Music is not a universal language.” – C. Michael Hawn “

"Just as theology does not make sense unless it is contextualized, worship is not authentic if it is not accommodated to particular eras and particular cultures.” -- Pedrito Maynard-Reid.

Who should attend?
If your church is in a changing neighborhood with shrinking local attendance, or if your leaders have committed themselves to reaching across cultural lines, your musicians are probably wondering how this will affect their planning. Some of us are think we are going to help people groups when we actually have little or no acquaintance with their “heart language.” Take this opportunity to interact and share with others who have already had some success, or who are seeking to forge a new template for unity during the most segregated hour in America—11:00 AM Sunday.
